  2. If you watch a BF show every unknown thing is from BF. If you watch a ghost or paranormal show everything unknown is from a ghost or whatever else they're searching for. It really is pretty laughable if you bear that in mind. Problem is you jump to BF as the culprit. If you'd been searching for Aliens then they would be the 'logical' suspect, if you'd been looking for 'ghosts' obviously they would then be the guilty party... the list goes on and on. Just because it's unknown does not give you the ability to infer it is any particular thing much less a completely unproven primate.

  3. hello everyone I am new to this forum, as a matter of fact , this is the first time I have told a lot of people my experiences , I do not think many people have actually seen a BF. And I'll tell you why. There stories are like well now that I have seen one, im going to start going after them, I look forward to having a close encounter, he was 9ft tall, he was knocking on the trees, he was 500 to 1000 lbs, he was huge 4 foot in width, he was , these are all uh stretching it. I have had so many encounters with these things not by my choice either , There are several real encounters on here of people whom I think actually have seen them. A good example of this is on BFRO site no#28230, Im 6,5 230lbs , when I was 18 I was 6,3ft 180lbs.The first one I saw, I was hunting, armed with a 22cal, September , squirrel season, I kept hearing another person walking near me , but never saw anyone, finally I just hollered out hello, nothing, but I was zoned in now to foot steps, it was very dry, and hot, I had put 3 squirrels in the creek to stay cold, I was kinda getting an odd feeling like I was being watched by someone, so I went to the creek, to get the squirrels and get back down the mountain, as I walked it walked, as I stopped it stopped, im very concerned now, someone is there, dread is what I felt. I turned and scoped behind me , that's when I saw it thru the scope. It was a man, but not a man, it was almost like a copy of me but, it screamed at me like a woman seeing a monster, and a bobcat put together. It went thru me like ice, I started crying, just standing there, to afraid to move, terrified never been so scared. I turned and ran, I ran cross country in H.S. to keep in shape for wrestling. And on this day I ran I was balling . that first encounter ruined me , It was 10 years before I would go back in the woods, alone, and till this day, I am armed to the teeth, when I do go, I go with others as well, never alone. It ruined me, it actually did change my life forever, this one was 6,3 250lbs, very thin hair, none on the face what so ever, sun tanned skin, red glowing eyes like an ir light, it was the face and eyes that haunt me, and that scream,it was an abomination of man. Since then many other encounters, now, any twig snaps im on it, this is not by choice, but instinct, I wish I had never seen these things, they do not look like gorillas, they look like trolls in the movie willow. Horror, disgust, uncontrollable terror, then im actually knowing you saw one. not well I remember it was 12 ft tall 2000lbs looked like a ape, heard it knocking first, who made that up Monster Quest, all the people and T.V. shows doing that, lol they don't do that, lol. that sound clip from the sierras is how they sound, in the real world.they sound like a deer choking to death on a apple.and you hear that take the safety off your gun. I'm not putting down other peeps or their storys, all my experiences have been bad for me, I used to love hiking, hunting, fishing, camping, now I look like Rambo going in to the woods and I'm still afraid!

  5. ^Interesting story. Welcome to the forum! Could it be that you saw a type II or III BF like creature? Also, how many actual sightings have you had? For the rest of us, below is a pic of a troll from the movie willow. Oh, big feller - some folks here have regular contact w/em in their yards. Just a heads up.

  6. ^ So you've moved from what is possible to what is likely as if the two were interchangeable.

  7. I don't know, so I don't do vocalizations. I don't know for sure what wood knocks mean so I don't do that either. If you watch Finding Bigfoot, by now you'll have noticed that either might get a brief response but neither has brought a sasquatch in close enough for a good visual or filming. A definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing expecting the results to change. So ... decide what you want. If a distant howl or knock satisfies you, go ahead and howl and knock. If you want something else, you're going to have to do something else. MIB

  8. Hiflier, after reading what sunflower wrote, I think it's fair to say the pictures mentioned weren't their pictures to post in the first place.. You can't be asking people not to mention things they've seen, be it Sasquatches or pictures of Sasquatches. All these databases we look at daily are full of things that people see that you'll never see, I hope they don't stop talking about it just because they can't share what they saw and because others might get offended by it.

  9. Since I'm posting about forum rules and reports, this is a staff statement. The ignore function is a wonderful tool. Unfortunately, the staff can't use it because we have to be able to see and review every post. However, that's nearly impossible on a forum this large. This is why we have a report function on the forum. If you see a post that doesn't keep with the rules you can, and should, report it. Having said that, both sides of the proverbial fence are welcome to participate in the discussion. Note the term "discussion." Members are free to question statements and conclusions made by other members, but they're not free to do so in a disrespectful manner. They're also not free to keep pounding the same question(s) at another member repeatedly if the member doesn't answer, or if the member doesn't answer the question to their satisfaction. That's antagonistic behavior, which is trolling. No member of the BFF has an obligation to answer any question, particularly when the question is intended to imply misdeeds or wrongdoing by those skeptical of their efforts or of their intentions. We welcome skeptics on the forum, but not when they are cynical about it. To constantly pound a member because you want to imply that they're somehow wrong or hoaxing is not cool. If you find proof of this, then yes, it's fair game, and a member can actually be removed from the BFF if the evidence shows that they were involved in a hoax. My staff hat is now off. These statements are my own. It's perfectly legal to apply for and benefit from a tax-exempt status. Your standard of what should be tax-exempt isn't necessarily that of the government. I fail to see how this even comes into play in this discussion other than to attempt to imply that the member is doing so in a fraudulent manner. This is nothing more than an attempt to cast doubt onto someone's character, which I find to be rather weak and underhanded. If someone is abusing their tax-exempt status, that's between them and the government. How it has anything to do with the member and the validity of their claims and evidence is beyond me.

  10. Roughly three dozen of the last 50 plus posts in this thread are either from members who generally scoff at the idea of Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Wood Apes in general and N.A.W.A.C.'s work in X specifically, or are in response to those posts. I've put a number of said members on ignore, yet it seems useless as I see their opinions quoted by other members whose posts I otherwise appreciate and often learn from. The only way that I believe this thread can be kept on track for those of us actually interested in and supportive of Brian and N.A.W.A.C.'s work is if as a group, we utilize the ignore function. I understand how personally satisfying it is to post a thoughtful response to an irritating one, yet it simply tells the other member that they have gotten under your skin and encourages further agitating. I'm sure to be roundly criticized by certain members for this post, but I won't have to worry about seeing any of it unless it is as a quote.
