  1. I believe that could be a good film with the right director and actors. There's a couple of reasons you'd have to be careful with it: 1) The "taking a piece of it" part would immediately translate into "lets do a horror film!" for most mainstream directors, and 2) No one has ever actually been able to "take a piece of one" for proof in the entire history of the subject and this might end up bringing even more attention to that fact. You'd definitely have to place some strict guidelines on it but if you hooked up with the right people it could work. It's very impressive that you've went as far as you have with it and it would be a shame if it didn't ever get made so I hope you don't give up on it. My idea centers more around producing a docudrama with really good actors who would depict the personal lives of Bob and Roger leading up to the trip to Bluff Creek and the ultimate discovery, their lives after the discovery including the four horseman: Dahinden, Green, Krantz and Byrne, Roger's death, then Bob's life in the aftermath.; a biopic, and depending on the skill of the actors, it might even grab some nominations. I think if someone did a true-story based film and not deviate one bit from Bob's account, all while capturing the imagination and hearts of millions of movie-goers, that would do more to further acceptance of the subject than anything else has to date. I would go as far as to include both Bill Munns and Jeff Meldrum in the actual film, appearing in the modern aftermath as part of the ongoing debate, and most certainly give Bob a role, appearing as himself in the present day (he deserves this) - if he didn't want to have a speaking role, have him as a background actor, possibly sitting alone, by a crackling fire, staring at an old photograph of the creature as the film fades into the end credits. Do this film right and it will bring hundreds of millions of people into the fold by making them connect personally and emotionally to Bob and Roger: At that point, Patty is essential "real" to almost everyone as she will have became a major part of who Bob and Roger really are to them .

  4. You could very well be right. Perhaps they noticed lack of people in the woods during the pandemic? One thing I did notice was that if other people were around, hiking , shooting or whatever, or even another car at a trail head, I never had contact. I suspect that when a juvenile was involved my first contact, when I was within 20 or so yards of it, and withdrew without any sort of threat to it, I was given a pass for a while. The pass may have been two ways in that I suspect an olderr teen juvenile was often involved, based on footprint finds. Perhaps the teen was even encouraged to practice avoidance with me since I had been deemed a non threat at the initial encounter. When I got pushy, impatient, and trying to get them to break cover was when things started going south. Or when I messed with an adult, perhaps the reaction on their part was differrent. Rather than entertainment I was a pain for them? If you think about it even if you establish some level of trust with a local group, you cannot expect that with some migrating BF that travels through your research area. As an aside note in my internet feed today I had a pop up commenting on someone who claims to be a time traveler from 2258. He has made various claims in the past about future events. None of which have panned out. His latest claim is that sometime this year, one of the two operable Mars rovers will discover human bones on Mars. That would sure create some excitement. It reminded me of a dream I had when I was having encounters. In the dream I was invited to some sort of BF social gathering and not very welcome to the large male clan leader. In the dream I asked the BF if they were extraterrestrial. They said there were not but we humans were. Human bones on Mars would suggest that we are Martians or at least from some other planet.

  5. Been super busy the past couple of weeks. My dad fell ill and has extreme dizziness and balance issues, then kidney issues. Kidney issues resolved but still no idea what's causing the dizziness. It started a few days after his 4th Covid booster shot and I've heard there's been some issues with lot's of other older folks. He had to go to the ER, then the hospital, and now is in a critical care nursing unit of a local old folks home. I ended up having to re-home his bird dog, Norm. He's an English Setter professionally trained by some master trainer in Cheney, WA. Norm is only 4 and super sweet, but full of energy and my dad can't care for him anymore. I ended up taking him in as I couldn't find anyone that wanted him. So, looks like I will be getting into bird hunting, lol. Went out to pick him up yesterday and there was a bad accident about 300 yards down the road from my dad's place. The vehicle on it's side is a Honda CR-V and was stopped at a group of mailboxes 20 yards away when it was rear-ended by a 1976 Ford F-250 4x4 lifted and running 35" tires. The impact was so severe that it launched the CR-V down the road and onto it's side. The F-250 was pulled over and still drive-able. What does this have to do with Bigfoot? Well, if you recall, the last bad accident here made national news when a lady claimed she was driving at nearly this exact spot when she saw a Bigfoot chasing a deer along the road and the deer ran in front of her car and caused her to crash. I suspect this crash had nothing to do with Bigfoot, however, and simply a distracted driver, possibly looking for elk and deer that are typically out on the hillside to the left in the second photo. Oh, and I got a new girlfriend who lives up in Mead, WA, has a 4Runner, new camper, and loves to explore the woods, so that will be nice this summer. Norm...

  6. I believe there needs to be a serious, ACCURATE, high-profile A-list movie made about the events leading up to and surrounding the Patterson/Gimlin film. I'm not referring to something left up to the discretion of some latte-sipping unicorn in Hollywood either (who's probably never even been off concrete), because if that were allowed to happen then it would surely be turned into a silly, modern-day horror/comedy like the "Mummy" with Brendan Frasier, which was simply goofy and inaccurate in so many ways that it forever ruined the reputation of many actual figures from history https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GK5ott5ery8 (I expected a sweeping, captivating and serious adventure movie when that first came out - imagine my eventual disappointment). Along with Bob Gimlin, there are so many other people who could be tapped for knowledge to make a movie like this happen - people such as Munns, Meldrum, et al. The subject of "Bigfoot" has blown up to heights no one would have ever expected and at this point it has infused itself in our everyday culture that it's became commonplace and expected; most of the time it's an image portraying a loosely-associated profile of Patty stuck on something. Heck, as an example, even my 2016 Jeep Renegade has a hidden PATTY PROFILE in the rear glass striping from the factory!. So, IMO, it all truly started with the P&G film. I think a serious P&G movie is simply begging to be made and would be a major hit. One of the men responsible for bringing the original film to us is still alive and I think this needs to happen while he's still with us.

  8. All you need is a 1960's Halloween costume seller and an acquaintance of Roger Patterson's both seeking fame and fortune at the same time. Then: BINGO! mystery solved lol

  9. Well, the poster asked a few specific questions which I tried to answer without offering further personal opinions about the big picture. Investigations have to start somewhere, and will progress as far and as broadly as the individual determines, relying on experts or not. Since I know they exist, the idea of proof of existence is uninteresting to me and probably others. Can't speak for the OP, but maybe this thread, like so many others, isn't the place to start arguing for it.
