Dang.....enough of these 90+ days in Texas, heading to my shack near Granite Falls WA, can't wait! Nobody has stayed at the cabin in 10 months, could be interesting.

Those are interesting looking slabs of stone Tex. Any sign of remnant tool marks on any of them? Are any of the structures, i.e. pyramid, defensive wall, visible from overhead on Google Earth?

Hey Airdale, the stones are within 20 feet of a well maintained barbed wire fence, owned by city, and no trespassing. I respect the signs, but it's real tempting to go in there. I do wonder why it's off limits, no reason that i can see other than they don't want folks seeing whats up there.

I've looked at the google earth deal, and other than the pyramid shape, nothing that unusual, and no sign of the wall, as it is in a wooded area. Maybe there is a high tech way to enhance images?

I was watching a show on Ankor Wat in Cambodia last night, and they were using a new jungle penetrating radar that was amazing. It was able to 'see' through the jungle and map the region as it looked in 900AD, complete with surrounding city.......the detail of old wood structures & streets showed the detail of the layout........this is what I need to use here:)

Zoomed in and took a closer picture of one of the many slabs, and all are cut or eroded the same way. The slabs look worked, with crisp edges, and doesn't appear that a lot of erosion has taken place that would have softened the edges over time. Also a picture of the keep out sign.

Hmmmmm

Effluent is an outflowing of water or gas from a natural body of water, or from a human-made structure.

How close are you to some sort of water treatment plant or factory?

Oh, Bigtex, I'm located in SW, WI.

Yup, this area has a holding tank/pool on the top for water storage.......if you look at Lago Vista on the Google map, you'll see it NW of town. It always has water in it, and a few of the BF Trails go in there. The fence was built about 3 quarters of the way up the slope of this small mountain, and forms a circle all the way around. Man I'd love to go in there and explore, I've seen some very interesting things from the fence line. Not sure why the holding tank is there, as I've never seen any water lines connecting it to the water treatment plant a few miles away. I need to find out who & when this tank was built........maybe it was always there in some capacity, and these slabs had something to do with re-directing the water in antiquity.

Here's a picture of the fence line where one of the alleged BF Trails continues through, with the barbed-wire strands pulled up & down to gain entry. I tried pushing one down in a few areas with my weight by standing on it, but couldn't, it was too tight.

Heading to my cabin near Granite Falls Washington on Wednesday 10/8, can't wait for some cooler weather and hiking up there:) This time will be different though, as I will be looking to move up in the Seattle area permanently, re-locate my business, and look for suitable housing.......don't think the wifey would like the cabin.

Hopefully I'll be able to work this out, and you guys up in the area can show me ropes up there. One thing I already know, totally & completely different kind of hiking.

Next time yer in the area, take a dog leash with you.

Cross the fence, periodically hollering "C'mere Spot!  Where are ya?  C'mon boy!"

LMAO......you don't know how many times I've thought about that Cotter, plus the dogs are always over there anyway......they can't read:)

You could use one of the dogs as a video platform, kind of a ground bound, un-guided drone!

Do those stones appear to be native to the area, and on that note, do you know of any quarries nearby?

Airdale that is a really good idea.     Nose guided camera platform.    Just have a dog that keeps distance and will not try to bite.    There are some dogs in habitation situations where the dogs and BF seem to be friends.    Just mount a camera on the dog.  If the dog is friendly the BF seem to be in return.

I like your way of thinking guys, but forget the dog.......I'll use the Wolf-Cam, she's the one who's always running around on the 'greener' side of the fence:)

Back from Granite Falls.......met up with some of my BF buddies at a restaurant in GF, but no Bigfooting for me. Heard from the group that went camping afterwards, and they had activity including a sighting. Dang, wish I had gone! I was doing mostly business though, as I have several good customers up in Seattle.

My biggest thrill was going to the Seattle-Cowboys game, and as a huge Cowboy fan.......GO COWBOYS!!

Pics of the game, and the cabin.
