The woods are so thick leaves or no leaves, plenty of places to hide. and my assumption was always that when they are spotted in plain sight, That it was maybe a mistake that they made, a tactical error and once they realize they are spotted they don't panic and run for fear of being chased???? just a thought. did not apply my education to that assumption at all lol

Well....hundreds of reports of the alleged animal standing in plain view? Doesn't sound so much like hiding to me, does it you? Oh, and they survived the encounter.

How many of those reports have the Bigfoot staying in plain sight and not running for cover? The only ones I can think of always end with the Bigfoot running off into the woods, not hanging out with people.

There would be no reason to run for cover if there was no fear of some kind. Otherwise we would have Bigfoot just hanging out all over the place within human communities and easy to find.

Roque, when thery "escort" you out of the woods it is done while hiding. They are the masters of motivation and you WILL do what they want !

So you don't believe Bigfoot hides from humans, Sunflower?

Yes they hide but you are forgetting something and that is, if we trespass on their territory they will let you know.  If you found someone on your front step of your home would you not be curious?

I got the message when I was shining a maglite into the trees in Tennessee.  After awhile somebody got really tired of me and let me know very gently that I should stop.  From less than 3 feet away in pitch dark I got growled at and I got the message.  I think they have been very patient when you consider how many dumb things they've had to put up with from us hairless ones.

All animals try to use intimidation when they are scared, even the little ones. Being aggressive doesn't mean that you aren't scared, and hiding usually means a fear of something.

When I read the habituation stories here it's usually bigfoot hiding from people, Bigfoot feeling threatened by something you do, or people doing something to scare them off. That doesn't sound like the Bigfoot being described here.

Then there are all the photos and videos presented here showing Bigfoot purportedly hiding in the bushes or behind trees so not to be spotted. Why? If there was no fear there would be no hiding.

Intimidation means agressive, maybe bullying, and I'm confident that not ALL animals do this.  Some just get away from you and leave. The above is not a true statement.

Not all habituation stories are the same.  Some have family members that actually let the kids and women see them, no sweat.  Some even have pictures of such an encounter.

Intimidation is the act of trying to impose fear, which is what animals will do when cornered and scared. They'll growl, hiss, snap at you , or even attack. Animals of all sizes will do this.

Me and a few friends liked the Honobia area so much, we went together on a 3200 acre lease. I had my first Class A there. That area holds some fantastic terrain and food sources. It's effect on me was profound to say the least. I converted from a believer that BF may exist, to KNOWING something very big is roaming around out there.

I would never try to change someone else's mind (rough footer).... maybe you just need to hit the woods in the area

GEARMAN; My experiences with the locals fall inline with what you are saying. There is far more activity in that part of the country than what gets reported.

Just looked up Honobia on Wikipedia and discovered that the article on it lists Bigfoot as a 'notable resident'  :good:

I wonder if someone here was responsible for that?!

Going in on a lease is a great idea. That's a great way to assure time down there
