Guest Crowlogic
Bigfooters have a tendency to ignore or discount professionals out in the field doing other types of research but nevertheless being in a "squatchy habitat" Darn I hate that word squatchy. When we aret here somehow the bigfoot knowto steer clear and we'll never see one, alive ore dead. Then there is the go read mantra that is poured on the skeptic. Well one poster in particular is telling skeptics to read and so I posted the materials I've read. And guess what? Not a peep out of said go and read bigfooter! Soooo I guess I haven't read the right books hey? Or perhaps I have read the right books and still don't believe that the go and read bigfootoligist has no counter. point. So I'll drop a bomb on the bigfoot world. When I was in the Adirondacks in 1981 I did see a bigfoot, I even saw the tracks it left on the lake side I was there to research. I of course dutifully reported the event to my thought to be open minded PHD boss and my boss rather sternly told me to cease and desist any such talk of that nature. We had funding to procure and keep procuring so I zipped my lip. Yes bigfoot is all over and yes there is a government run conspiracy to keep it from the people. Any you know what I'll leave it for the reader to decide if my confession is the real deal. Bigfoot is a singular thing you know.
Guest diana swampbooger
Well, Nakani, off hand I'd say you're not the kind of human a booger wants to visit with. It's OK, there's lots of folks like yourself.
Guest
I will try and elaborate a bit for you. When I first came here I ran chainsaw cutting trails in the mountains for seismic exploration. We would cut a grid pattern in the forest over the mountains, with each line roughly 200 meters/yards apart. Then when we finished that, a few crews of 2 would walk all of the lines cutting 5m x 5m drop zones every 60m. We would be flown in and out with helicopters every day. Chevron discovered one of the largest gas deposits in north America, setting off a frenzy of Oil&Gas companies to find another, and as a result I was able to explore every mountain and valley from the Franklin range west to the Yukon, on foot and by helicopter. After that the work moved a bit south to flatter ground we still did the same job but used quads and snowmobiles to travel around. Now a days the seismic work has slowed down, the Oil&Gas companies are pretty much done looking around. For the past 7 or 8 years I've been mostly working on infrastructure (leases, roads, etc) but I don't mind it keeps me outdoors and its always something and somewhere new. "Play" is kinda misleading, although I do jump on my quad or snowmobile for a joy ride every now and then, what we do for play is hunt. There isn't a regulated hunting season up here if you are a local so I am always hunting. We hunt strictly for food and we rarely miss an opportunity to put some meat in the freezer(moose, elk, duck, goose, beaver, porcupine, chicken or rabbit). When fall comes my wife and I spend about a month and a half up river at our cabin. She is relentless and we don't stop looking around until we have three Moose. That means a lot of days boating around, walking trails, checking licks. All day looking and listening. I have been interested in the Sasquatch legend since I was a young lad and always wondered if it was true. I have used and use the opportunities provided to me, to look for this mighty beast and found nothing. I would've replied sooner but my wife and I spent the day harvesting birch bark and there was no internet in the bush. Aside from the usual bugs and birds, we saw a dead beaver (well, just his head), some Bear tracks, Moose tracks (cow and calf), Buffalo tracks as well as Buffalo, Bear, Wolf , and moose turds. All sign from actual animals that live in the forest, but nothing from a Bigfoot. With a mystery to solve does a detective hit the streets or sit at his desk reading Nancy Drew novels? Really? Nancy Drew novels? I read a few books; I have about six book shelves full of books as I still prefer reading and holding them in my hands over Kindle. I keep a list of books I ever read and nope, there were no Nancy Drew novels I am aware of …. So next time if it's a book referral you're looking for just learn how to ask ... you might learn something! Guest
Gumshoeye, That is quite the list, after reading all those books, one would expect to have a good understanding of the written word. Are you familiar with the literary term Allusion? I was equating a person solving the mystery regarding the existence of Bigfoot by reading reports, with a detective trying to solve a case by reading Nancy Drew novels. You see Bigfoot reports are about Bigfoot but contain no proof of existence, just as Nancy Drew novels are about detective work but won't solve anything. When 911 happened the government employed Hollywood to supply them with scenarios of terror attacks in order for it to build up methods against as many possible attacks as could be imagined. Guest
See any wolverines? Any lynx? Never saw a bear, eh? Does not sound even close to what I'd call a "comprehensive survey"...never mind not knowing what to look for. (Sure all those bear turds were bear? Once saw a bear turd do a perfect imitation of a cow pie; turds are not exactly the best ID mechanism. like Martin said that was one day. So no I didn't get to see sign from all the animals in the forest. I do find it odd that at one point or another I have seen all the animals that live in the Northern forest but not Bigfoot. I have seen sign from all the animals but not Bigfoot. Oh, yes the bear turd was from a bear, the bear tracks leading up to it and away from it kinda seals the deal. Unless... Bigfoot after a long day eating saskatoon berries took a dump on that bear trail and then erased his tracks. Scientifically speaking which do you think is more likely? Then we have all the people who have seen them; describe them clearly and consistently; describe tracks which many others not seeing the animal have found (raises hand; only one species known to exist could have made them...and it didn't); ...and a film that couldn't tie the two strains of evidence together more compellingly. I know what I am going with; and that is what makes sense in science to go with. Camp fire stories and a questionable movie, have nothing to do with science. Guest
I can do that, but please tell me how your views changed so drastically from January 23, 2013 when you started your Nakani thread to now? What changed for you? I thought it was interesting and encourage the readers to check it out. This is either a sad attempt at a jab or you still don't get it. It doesn't matter though I can see responding to your posts is a waste of time. Please put me on ignore. There is absolutely nothing to gain or learn from your Nancy Drew comment to begin the morning with my friend, if you're bored up there and need some reading material ask, I would have gladly given you some freely ... Don't imply I sit around idly reading that nonsense that's not the way to do things so yes, it was very clearly received exactly the way it was intended so try it on someone else... Guest
Gumshoeye, I began to notice a pattern within the world of Bigfootery. It was the perpetual "excuse" that prevents the footer from providing proof. The last bit of my belief hinged on the PGF. After investigating both sides I realized It is a man in a suit. This brought me to the conclusion that the existence of Bigfoot is highly unlikely (right next to zero). As for my Nakani thread I haven't had a chance to sum things up yet, my conclusions are that after much investigation the Nakani are not an undocumented hominid. I for one would love for bigfoot to be real, I think that would be pretty cool. I just don't wish it was real so bad that I'm willing to pretend the evidence says it is. I think You misunderstood when I referenced "a detective", you assumed I was talking about you, when I was just trying to tailor my analogy into something you could relate to.
