Guest Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 (edited) OK, here's the sound file I played on the show. There is a lot of cicada noise, but you'll hear a kind of moaning sound followed by a barking kind of sound and then the "chatter". For the sake of my inbox (where I get notifications to posts to this thread), could discussion of the GCBRO event be taken elsewhere? TBRC_Wood_Ape_Growl.mp3 Edited November 2, 2011 by bipto
bipedalist Posted November 2, 2011 BFF Patron Posted November 2, 2011 Yep three or four clear enunciations that sound phonemic and a lot of deeper gutterals. I've heard both before but these are as clear or better as other's that I've heard. For whatever reason, in my mind, these are some of the sounds that go unidentified that many ascribe to BF. At least my experience and recording efforts have found this so. And, yes, one or two of those sounded samurai gibberishy to me. Thanks for the post up of the file, can't believe I stepped away from the show and missed the file after listening to that show for so long. There was an instance of a buzzing almost metallic sound near the beginning of that clip that were odd too. Was that all the good stuff, lol? (Translation: what are you holding back? )
Guest Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 In an earlier post, I believe someone asked if the land owner was kill/no kill, well I heard him on Squatch D-TV and he was firmly no-kill, but then again he also started mentioning aliens that dropped off the squatches on Earth and some other cool things like that. So I think just getting his permission to be on the land is good enough. I wouldn't necessarily take out a note pad and take down what he says as completely solid evidence. Just sayin. . . I saw that as well. Then there is this one, certainly showing that personally he is no-kill http://www.kten.com/global/video/popup/pop_playerLaunch.asp?vt1=v&clipFormat=flv&clipId1=6072572&at1=News&h1=SASQUATCH! That might be a problem with your download or you could be misinterpreting the cicada noise. I just downloaded it and it sounds fine. Edited November 2, 2011 by bipto

The barking and beginning of the chatter comes through well........thanks. You were mentioning the problem with the night vision since focusing makes it hard to walk in the brush. Have you been making comfortable tree stands and posting people in them at night with night vision? It would be cool to trank dart one from the stand and catch it alive. You could have a tourist attraction to support your cause. Do you think the BFs will leave the area since they probably know they are being hunted? If the property is large enough they may move to the other side. How many acres is this private land? Leaving generous portions of food about 9' up in trees might bring in some. We have a homeless fellow here in a small community of OR who sleeps in his car far into the forest, and leaves smoked salmon on the roof. He claims sometimes the BFs come in, chatter, and eat the salmon. They probably know he's harmless and lose their fear. Edited November 2, 2011 by georgerm

A decent photograph of a salmon-snacking sasquatch might be just the thing to help him out with his financial difficulties.
bipedalist Posted November 2, 2011 BFF Patron Posted November 2, 2011 That might be a problem with your download or you could be misinterpreting the cicada noise. I just downloaded it and it sounds fine. Nope had earphones and a good download. I'll give you the timestamp......two to six seconds, it could be frogs but it sounds like you have filtered the file some so who knows?! Not an important part of the file but worthy of explanation. Almost forgot, so that's your best file from Operation Endurance?
Guest parnassus Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Bipto No offense but....Some hunters keep their camps well stocked with their favorite "refreshments." I take it this episode didn't involve any such stuff? Thanks p
Guest Biggie Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Someone on the BFF told me about it (the shooting), and said it was a well known event. http://www.network54.com/Forum/23217/message/1318194633/The+Animal+we+got+a+shot+at+back+in+2003. I don't know that it's all that well known like you were told. I certainly never knew about it. Thanks for posting it. I've never heard that audio clip before bipto thanks for posting it.

Bigtex Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I know a couple of the TBRC guys, and even done some Squatching with them years ago. The ones I met were first class people, and absolutely no alcohol or drugs are tolerated on their outings, very professional.
Guest Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Have you been making comfortable tree stands and posting people in them at night with night vision? Yes, but I'll wait until the OE report is posted to say more. Do you think the BFs will leave the area since they probably know they are being hunted? If the property is large enough they may move to the other side. How many acres is this private land? As I said before, we continued to have activity after the incident. The land is surrounded by national forest, so yes, theoretically they could move if they wanted to. ...it sounds like you have filtered the file some so who knows?! I'll take a listen when I'm in a place where I can. I didn't apply any filtering to the file whatsoever. Almost forgot, so that's your best file from Operation Endurance? We only have a few since we were only recording for the one night. In the future, we'll be recording much more. No offense but....Some hunters keep their camps well stocked with their favorite "refreshments." I take it this episode didn't involve any such stuff? We're not hunters, we're researching, and there were no alcoholic beverages present during OE. It was a grueling expedition, not a long weekend at the cabin. Why wouldn't one take offense at that? I've got a thick skin. ...absolutely no alcohol or drugs are tolerated on their outings, very professional. That's the fact, Jack.
Hammy Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 That's a great audio clip, Now I know what to listen for Then go clean out my pants.

bipedalist Posted November 2, 2011 BFF Patron Posted November 2, 2011 Bipto. Let me start over. It is an interesting sound. Never said it was a glitch or something wrong. Something that is not a katydid. Maybe a frog, cricket or other? I thought maybe someone from that area would know if it is an other. Sorry I didn't explain better or use different language. We've had another discussion in some other threads about BF making a metallic or buzzing noise is reason I'm spending time with this. If it's a frog or a cricket, never mind
