sheri
mbh, that's not true. If you saw one it would be of interest to hear from others who have also. Or if you think it's a possibility it would draw your interest. If you don't believe it makes no sense why you would waste your time. There would be no reason to be here.
Guest
Just about everyone is wasting their time here. There have to be far more productive things (exercising, making money, reading a book, spending time with friends/family, being outside, volunteering, etc.) that most of could be doing. The believer is not doing anything on this forum more noble or worthwhile compared to a skeptic. I feel like it's insane to try to explain why a skeptic would be here at this point. Maybe we can post a FAQ or something, so this doesn't have to pop up in every thread.
sheri
What does doing something noble have to do with anything ? And for someone who has seen a bigfoot, for them being on the bbf is worthwhile for the most part, because they will hear from others who have seen the same thing. They have something in common and can talk about their experiences. For someone who doesn't believe at all, what is the point ?
Guest
My point was that what the skeptic gets out of this board is not any less worthwhile than what the believer gets. There's no proof Bigfoot exists. What's the reason for believers being here? pretty silly question, right? I can even kinda understand why believers keep asking why a skeptic would be here though. It seems like many believers would rather have a forum completely dedicated to the idea that Bigfoot exists, which makes sense. Why doesn't someone create that place? At this point, the folks who run these boards still welcome skeptics.
sheri
I am not talking about skeptics. Doubting and questioning bigfoot is one thing. Although if i was a skeptic I wouldn't waste my time on here and I sure wouldn't if I was 100% sure they didn't exist. What would be the point ? I was a skeptic at one time and i sure didn't waste my time on these forum's. Anyway my question was for someone who is positive they don't exist. Guest
couldn't he be a skeptic that concluded they don't exist after research? But why do most people spend time on a forum? Help pass the time... Edited July 8, 2014 by mbh
sheri
Really ?.To pass time ? LOL,WOW. I don't get on forums to pass time. I can't comprehend that. Makes no sense to me. I will get on political forums because i am passionate about politics. I got on this forum because I saw one. If people are getting on forums because they don't have anything better to do, then that's sad. I truly feel bad for them because life can be so much more than wasting time on a subject you don't believe in.
Guest
you can't comprehend that?. It's just impossible to imagine a person being entertained reading and posting on a forum. All serious business on Internet forums. Thank goodness all these poor wretches wasting time on forums have your sympathy. or could it be possible to be passionate about BF, yet not believe after evaluating the evidence? By the way, I'm not speaking for mcsquatch...just my own thoughts. Edited July 8, 2014 by mbh
sheri
No I can't comprehend it. It makes no sense spending time on something you don't believe exist's. Being entertained ? How ? by making fun of other's or trying to make yourselves seem to be the rational person because these things just don't exist. So yes I feel sorry for them. Guest
people are entertained by different things. Apologies for veering this thread off course...everyone back to serious forum business.
sheri
Entertained ? That is the word you keep using. For many on here bigfoot is serious and their discussion's are serious. It's not entertainment.
Guest
so what? Other people can derive different things from this forum. We don't all need to be here for the same reasons. When I say entertained, I mean enjoyable and not amused (although that is another possible reason for being a member).
sheri
No we don't all need to be here for the same reason's. I asked squatchy a reasonable question and you decided to answer. Why ? did it hit a cord with you ? You didn't like it ?
Cotter
Sheri - I would suggest the ignore function. After a while, you can figure out some of these folks' schticks and well, at that time you can decide if you would rather gloss over the comments or continue beating yer head against a wall. Good luck with whichever you decide.

Why ? did it hit a cord with you ? You didn't like it ?it wasn't my intention to answer for anyone. It's a question that comes up often and I was offering my perspective. The question didn't upset me, just giving my opinion. If you had a problem with my intrusion, you coud have discontinued the conversation, yet you let it go for many posts....
