Zig, are you saying that the production company's goal was to show a hoaxer in action, but Dyer wasn't aware of this? He thought he was fooling them, when in fact they are doing a doc on hoaxed videos with him as their ignorant star witness?

If so, how poetic.

i was thinking as he was aware of it and would be actually be commenting on what to do and how people would react, I didn't think of the way you said it,

but that could also be a possibility.

The way that BF looks in the video, I don't know how someone can pull the trigger on something that human, It have to just about ready to turn me inside out before I would ever be able to shoot something looking so human.

I'm the kind of hunter that will only shoot something that looks good in my oven :) but there are those twisted, warped, crazy, well RD in a nutshell type guys out there that don't understand hunting and only know killing.

Some the best days I ever had hunting were days that I never even took my bow off the hanger.

Should I even mention the recent MABRC claim to my family? I think not, but wondering...what is going on in Bigfootery? It seems really wild, whether hoaxers or not, folks are making even more extraordinary claims than a few years ago, or am I hopelessly apprised of these claims/ events now because of forums like this?!

How would Dyer fake the camper video? Unless he didnt take the film but pillfered it off someone else? Yes it would be easy for him to fake this film but it would look like a fake - however it looks very genuine. The mosquito gauze that lies between the person in the tent and the sasquatch inhibits any computer generated bigfootery to be placed on top of the film. Given RD's generally unsophisticated approach and knowledge to basically everything in life, I find it hard to believe that he would have masterminded getting such a highly sophisticated replica of a bigfoot. He would have had to inject a VAST amount of money and given the job to specialists in the film/special effects companies to have pulled off this fake camper video.

I am perplexed by this story as I hate RD more each day especially as I read he was arrested for domestic violence towards a pregnant woman (his partner I think) not long ago. But I still cant see where the hoax lies in this story?? hmmmmm

According to RD himself he made over $250,000 in the year of the Meat in a Gorilla Suit Hoax (2008) and continued to make "a good six figures" per year thereafter from his "bigfoot research". Based on what some knowledgeable suit makers have said regarding how much it might cost for a first class or state of the art BF suit, it would be in the neighborhood of $50,000 to $100,000. Having a state of the art suit would preclude having to do any CGI, especially since it was shot through mosquito netting with a smartphone camera.

Do I think he had the means and motivation to create such a suit? Absolutely.

Hell, if Roger Patterson could do it with limited suit making materials available in '67, it should be a breeze for Dyer with today's technology.

Maybe he hired Todd Standing to do makeup and hair.

Especially if he was working with a film crew who had BBC money backing it and the needed technology available.

Better chance he hired Gutzon Borglum

Perhaps the film crew had a suit made up for the documentary and RD was just filming the actor wearing it.

Actually that would make a lot of sense. The face is very convincing I will grant you that.

It would be sweet if the documentary was about Hoaxers. LOL

Who in the world is paying him money yet?

Accusing a man of domestic violence is a pretty serious charge, do you have a link for that information?

I was thinking the same thing. It looks remarkably similar to a BF I've seen before.

However, I'm not gonna give the kill to RD till I see a body surrounded by qualified, and, properly vetted, scientists nodding in agreement that it's for real. And, an autopsy to be shown on live tv, without commercial breaks, by a proper coroner.

I'm seriously hating on hoaxers, of late. I must be getting old. Or, the same ol' s**t is getting old.

I've heard a lot of things about RD but never anything related to domestic violence. He may be a known hoaxer, manipulator and self promoter but I have never read anything about his being physically abusive to anyone.

If this is true, I suggest you put up some proof before posting an accusation of this magnitude.

I just posted the link I was sent by someone http://squatchdetective.wordpress.com

You have to scroll down quite far. What is going on? I dont know what the hell to read / not read on the internet. I am new to the BF community and last week I totally believed this story of RD shooting a Bigfoot with the British film company in a nearby tent. I have read the comments from an avalanche of skeptics and RD haters and I dont know what to believe any more. I should crawl back out of the BF community backwards and close the door perhaps......?

Apparantly you see muscle groups moving in the face and neck?
