Guest Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 (edited) Can you link the 15 ft NC sighting? I cannot imagine what I would do if I ran across that guy. NCBRR, I am sorry to say I cannot primarily because I wasn’t exactly as interested in storing reports. All I have now is information extracted from close to 3,000 reports and just added another two hundred last week. When I read them I noted the specifics such as the height and quickly moved on discarding the reports. You are the to ever first ask, and I wish I should them. Any that I kept I think I posted but I will keep any that I run across in the near future and post them so I don’t have to keep them. I was noting specifics much the same BFF does here with SSRs. For me it was a duplication of nightmares. I like to keep my machine as clutter free as I can exclude the Michigan reports. Additionally, as a fore thought I wish I did, but I didn’t want to be slavish to this effort any more than I already am. The thought of maintaining thousands of reports stored on my machine was not appealing to me. So for the sake of expedience and brevity I painstakingly extracted details of four specific areas and broke them down into sets and subsets. First Set Time Year, Month, Day, Season, Hour Second Set Location State Third Set Activity ATV Bicyclist/ Motorcycle Boating Campers Farmer Fishing Hiking Horseback Riders Hunters LEO/Govt Military Motorist Other Governmental Residential Snowmobile Fourth Set Behavior & Physical Attributes Aggression All Fours Carcasses Chasing/ Chased Campsite Torn Up Eye Color Gunfire/Shootings Heights Multiple Animals Throwing Objects Tracks/ Size Tree Stumps Watching Kids Wearing Clothes Window Peeping Edited December 5, 2014 by Gumshoeye
NCBFr Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 I understand. I read hundreds if not 1,000s of reports myself before attempting any form of categorization. Please send me a PM if you ever find it.
Guest Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 (edited) I recall Coonbo and Bear telling me they saw two 10 footers together at LBL a few years ago. Well, I have read and heard about numerous sightings in that area, so I'm not too surprised to hear that they have seen some large BF there. The "thing" I saw had to be 9 feet at least, but that was in Texas, and as we all know everything is "supposedly" bigger in Texas, so as a Kentuckian I'm happy we have some big ones also; NOT! Please send me a PM if you ever find it. I can do that, thanks. The "thing" I saw had to be 9 feet at least, but that was in Texas, and as we all know everything is "supposedly" bigger in Texas, so as a Kentuckian I'm happy we have some big ones also; NOT! Well if the reports are accurate there are some big heifers out there. I don’t think the land is crowded with them, but I think it is very probable. Fall 1978 Shawano, Wisconsin Brothers Tom and Ted were deer hunting in the Wisconsin woodlands, with approximately 2 inches of snow on the ground. They split up, and Tom began walking through the woods looking for deer spoor. A cold wind was blowing, and a snow flurry began. Tom looked up suddenly and saw a large 10 foot high tree “stump†about 40 yards away that appeared awkward compared to the rest of the landscape. When Tom saw hair on the “stump†blow sideways in the breeze, he quickly realized he was looking at a living creature. As he focused on it, the head and shoulders of something huge became more visible. Just then huge snowflakes began to fall during a sudden squall. Tom could see brown shaggy hair hanging over the face, covering all the creature’s facial features. He quickly pulled up his gun and aimed at it but could not fire. Strangely, a voice told him, “Don’t shoot.†This startled him. He became paralyzed, almost frozen in time, gun to shoulder with no urge to pull the trigger. The statuesque creature was staring straight at him, never moving a muscle. Tom kept a bead on it whit his rifle for a full 15 minutes. Both remained motionless. Then out of the corner of his eye, Tom saw his brother Ted, who unbeknownst to Tom had been following the creature’s tracks. Within minutes, Ted saw the creature with Tom pointing his rifle at it. He noticed the broad shoulders of the giant, its back toward him, but he did not attempt to shoot. Ted then circled around the creature and joined Tom. Incredibly, the creature never moved. The brothers quickly walked away, leaving the creature still standing in place. After walking about 20 yards, they became terror stricken by the sight of a dead deer with a stick grotesquely jammed through its neck. The head had been twisted back in an unnatural position. It looked at them with glowing red eyes before walking up a steep embankment and disappeared into the woods. Investigators found 21-inch long, 3-toes footprints impressed at least five inches into the hard soil. The tracks were five feet apart, a difficult feat for a man to reproduce on the 45-degree embankment. The investigators followed the tracks for about 700 feet into the forest before they disappeared. georgerm Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 From the above report. A new hunting method for bigfoot. Tool use at a basic level. The brothers quickly walked away, leaving the creature still standing in place. After walking about 20 yards, they became terror stricken by the sight of a dead deer with a stick grotesquely jammed through its neck.
Guest Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Hunters, Bigfoot Dead 1965 Tarrytown, Georgia An eight foot creature that appeared “mangled†was spotted near this location. Which leads one to wonder what could mutilate an eight foot tall monster. Source: Weird Georgia, Jim Miles/ Gordon Strasenburgh, p47 Note: This is interesting …. Mangled? What pray tell could be large enough to mangle an eight foot Bigfoot which is of extraordinary strength and ferocious in its own right? From the above report. A new hunting method for bigfoot. Tool use at a basic level. The brothers quickly walked away, leaving the creature still standing in place. Guest Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Another bigfoot was probably responsible. But it makes you wonder how large the other one was in order to mangle an eight foot creature like a discarded piece of tissue doesn’t it?
Guest Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 But it makes you wonder how large the other one was in order to mangle an eight foot creature like a discarded piece of tissue doesn’t it? Wouldn't have to be larger, would just have to won the fight. The mangling of the body could have happened after death. Not something unheard of in humans, and perhaps a message being sent to the dead's associates.
Guest Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Can you link the 15 ft NC sighting? I cannot imagine what I would do if I ran across that guy. I would recommend continuing to run, only faster, would be my advice, and don't stop until you reach your car or your house:( HTG, a 15 foot tall BF could cause heart attacks in my humble opinion.
georgerm Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Yeah, out running this creature would be a real feat. Getting in the car won't help, since it could rip the doors off. Just take a bag of candy bars and make friends is better than running or at least take a fake friend along that you can out run! Back be beheadings. I read a BFRO report where a witness came across an area where pieces and limbs of a black bear were found scattered and hanging from bushes. Was this the work of mama bigfoot when the bear threatened its young? Don't mess with mama.
Guest Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 I heard about that one George, but I never found the report. I’ve often wondered how Bigfoot fare alongside Grizzlies and wolves of Yellowstone, Wyoming and Alaska … I’ve seen some of those wild wolves and some of them are surprisingly massive.
Guest Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 November 1985 Nome, Alaska Supposedly a local pilot and his newly wed wife were en route to Anchorage were they would make connections for their honeymoon. The weather turned sour so he touched down in a Cessna 180 or 185 on floats. He taxied to shore where he and his wife looked for a spot to pitch their tent for the night. Having found one he turned toward the plane to fetch the tent with his wife following him. He heard his wife scream and turned to see a hairy biped running from the location towards the woods with his wife under one arm. The pilot chased after the critter before realizing that he could best stop it with a firearm and returned to the plane to fetch his rifle. He followed, seeing them three times before he lost sight of them. He found a particle of cloth from his wife’s garment. He either spent the night in his tent and looked the next day or flew to Anchorage and reported the event to the Alaska State Troopers who began a search but were unable to come up with any positive results. The wife was never found and the pilot was reportedly distraught and a “basket case†for years. Source: Larry Kaniut, Alaska, July 2007 in Bigfoot Encounters
