A  railway worker was busy working on some tracks when he looked up to see coming down the tracks a figure with an estimated height of seven to nine feet. As the figure approached more closely, the worker described seeing “fangs†like large canines, protruding from this figure’s mouth. The creature was also very hairy. He reported two very odd things, first the creature walked in a rather peculiar “side to side†manner as if it as shuffling down the track. Secondly it was carrying a big stick over its shoulder, with which it struck railroad worker. After beating the witness it disappeared into the brush. Bruises were found on the witness.

Bandera Hills, Texas

Multiple witnesses describe seeing a huge 9-foot creature tall hairy creature in broad daylight. The creature came down from the hills, hoisted a cow onto its shoulders, and ran back into the hills. Witnesses described how the creature grabbed a cow, hoisted it over its shoulders and ran away with it. One cattleman said he ran to get his rifle, jumped in his jeep and drove in the direction that the creature was last seen, but it was gone. “There is no way that thing could have gotten away,†he said. “It just vanished.â€

Cotton Hollow Wild Man. Four Danbury Men Frightened by a Giant in the Woods. (Danbury News) Four Danbury men discovered a gigantic wild man last week in Cotton Hollow, a section of country between High Rock Grove and Naugatuck. They were Jerry Wilson, Howard Bradley, James Durbin and George Howes, and were working in that vicinity. On the night of their discovery, they had been spending the evening with friends near High Rock Grove and were returning to their stopping place through the woods, between 11 and 12 o’clock at night. As they were trudging along a man of gigantic stature sprang up in front of them from behind among the bushes, and shouted out to Wilson, who was ahead: “How far is it to the next town?†“Three miles,†said Wilson with his hair standing on end and his eyes bulging from their sockets. Without saying anything more, the giant started off on a wild run and disappeared in the woods and the dark. All four of the men had seen him, however, before he was out of sight, and they were satisfied that he was at least twice as tall as anyone of their party, and correspondingly as large every other way. They acknowledge to having been pretty thoroughly scared by his sudden appearance. The next morning they commenced systematic investigations. They went back to the place of their discovery and measured the foot tracks of the giant. They were 18 ½ inches long and 5 ½ inches broad. The heel alone measures five inches. Then they made inquiries of the people who live in Cotton Hollow, and were informed that such  a man had been seen several  times. He was known to be at least nine feet tall and to weigh not less than 500 pounds.  Unless the vision of these men was greatly magnified on that night, and unless the people of the neighborhood told them a story to suit the occasion, they saw a character that Barnum & Bailey ought to have to exhibit to the Englishmen as a specimen of American products. Hunt For Wild Man.  Searchers Were Armed and Had Ambulance With Them.  Mount Vernon, N.Y., Sept 2. – A searching party consisting of Policemen Grant, Riley and Bellesheim, Gilbert Angevine, Fred Curtis, Harry Anderson, Thomas Hitchcock, H.D. Whittle and others made an exhaustive search for a wild man who is haunting the woods and graveyards near Bronxville. The men were mounted on bicycles and had with them the patrol wagon and ambulance, and each man was heavily armed.  They met more than a dozen persons who had seen the wild man, with the iron band about his waist and wrists and a chain clanking as he ran. Patrick Connelly, coachman for Frank R. Chambers at Crow’s Nest, ran into a crouching figure near the barn. A man, nearly naked, with matter hair and glaring eyes, sprang at him, and throwing up his bare arms, exclaimed: “Down, wretch! Aren’t you afraid of the king?†The coachman yelled and ran into the barn. He returned with other servants, armed with pitchforks, to capture the man, but he had disappeared in the dense underbrush. Bigfoot Medicine Remains used

The Comanche. Piamupits or Mu pitz is a cannibal monster who was terrifying cave dwelling ogre, about 12-feet tall covered in hair. Sanpia, a Comanche medicine woman, described Mu pitz as a very tall, hairy giant with big feet, he is huge and has foul smell. Comanche elders put out food for the Mu pitz because he still roams Oklahoma. Comanche grind Mu pitz bones into a powder and use it to treat sprains and bone problems.

MAN OR GORILLA? The Extraordinary Character Who is
Scaring Cannecks.  Ottawa, Ont., Aug.1.  --
Pembroke, about 100 miles north of Ottawa, has a lively sensation in the shape of a wild man eight feet high and covered with hair.  His haunts  are on Prettis Island, a short distance from the town, and the people are so terrified that no one has dared to venture on the island for several  weeks Two raftsmen named Toughey and Sallman, armed with weapons, plucked up sufficient courage to scour the woods in hopes of seeing the monster. About 8 o'clock in the afternoon, their curiosity was soon rewarded.  He emerged from a thicket having in one hand a tomahawk made of  stone and in the other a bludgeon. His appearance struck such terror to the hearts of the raftsmen that they made tracks for the boat, which was  moored by the beach. The giant followed them, uttering demonical yells and gesticulating wildly. They had barely time to get into the boat and  pull a short distance out into the stream when he hurled the tomahawk after them, striking Toughey in the arm and fracturing it. Sallman fired two shots, but neither took effect, the giant retreating hurriedly at the first sound of firearms.  It is more than probable that the townspeople will arrange an expedition to capture, if possible, what Toughey describes as a man who looks like a gorilla, wandering about in a perfectly nude condition, and, with the exception of the face, with a thick growth of black hair.

Ligonier, Pennsylvania

A 12-yar old girl reported seeing a large hairy, ape-type creature walking on two legs towards a cave. The creature was slightly hunched, covered with long hair, arms hung to its knees. A calf wandered too close and it was pushed away cutting it fatally in the process. It had orange eyes and a flat nose.

Lloyd, Maryland

At the time that there were numerous strange incidents in the area concerning the disappearance of livestock and of livestock being slaughtered outside their pastures, Albert Evans a local farmer was driving along a dirt road in his horse and buggy when he saw several bloody cows lying dead in his pasture. He then noticed some kind of half man, half beast standing above one of the cows. The creature was about 7-feet tall, but it was so dark that Evans could not make out any facial details and the like.

Hiking, Red Eyes, Multiple Animals 2

Borrego Sink, California

A prospecting alone in a desolate area was confronted one night by a pack of hairy, two legged creatures covered with silvery white hair or fur, glowing red colored eyes. The creatures surrounded his camp and menaced him for some time but were apparently kept at bay by the blazing campfire.

Note: Remember the old 1930s classic Wizard Oz movie? One of the greatest fears the scarecrow had was what? Fire.... Some of these creatures with all that hair could cause a brush fire, is that what they fear?

O’Donell, Maryland

Residents complained to police that a tall, thin prowler dressed in black was terrorizing them. He eluded capture by police. Witnesses swore that he possessed extraordinary leaping abilities. “He ran and jumped like a gazelle.†Another witness who got a good look at his face described it as “horrible.â€

July 11, 1938

Alden, New York

Troop A, state police members went out on an “African†expedition yesterday in search of a “gorilla†that a 16-year old Alden youth reported he saw shortly after the sun rose. Harold Dersam, son of Wallace Dersam of Sullivan Road, Alden, told investigators the hairy monster strode out of nearby woods when he went to drive a herd of cows to the barn. It clutched a xxxdead in his hand, he said. After tramping through the woods, in that vicinity about three hours, troopers returned to the barracks without tracking down the man-like creature but still placing some credence in your Dersam’s story. They quoted him saying, “there was mistaking it for anything but a gorillaâ€. Young Dersam said as he returned to the barn he noticed the creature going toward other heifers in the field but that soon the heifers passed him on the way to the barn.

July 1975

Gibsonia, Pennsylvania

Witnesses saw an eight foot tall creature with large green eyes peering into the window of a trailer. Claw marks were found on the screen door and 3-toed footprints were found near an abandoned tunnel in the area. No other information.

Fishing, LEO, Bigfoot Swimming

Summer 1967

Miami, Florida 3:00A

Antonio Martin was fishing at the mouth of the Miami River near an area called Government Cut, when he heard some loud splashing in the water. Suddenly he saw coming out of the water a huge 8 foot tall hair covered figure. The figure weighed about 400 lb and was covered with thick black hair; it had large eyes and pointy ears, long dangling arms and huge hands and feet. The figure, dragging his left leg, had no trouble jumping a nearby fence, it stood 10 ft from Martin staring at him, and making guttural sound. Suddenly the lights of a police car illuminated the figure, which ran and jumped into the water quickly disappearing from sight. Two police officers with drawn weapons approached the witness and told them that they suspected the creature had come across a nearby canal. They admitted knowledge of the creature apparently having been seen before.

Fishing, Bigfoot Swimming

Ketchikan, Alaska

Mrs. Nye’s cousin, Errol, then 15-years old was sent out to haul in the skiff up on the fishing boat which was ties to a float at night. Errol left the flashlights pointing inshore. He glanced up and saw a human-like figure standing in the water up to his waist, between the float and the shore watching him. He described it as “not exactly a person†but arms and head like a man. The creature was grayish white all over and had big round beady eyes. The boy screamed and ran home. About 30 men rushed out, shone lights and saw the creature dive under the water and swim away under water like a frog. Arms forward over the head and legs doing a “frog kickâ€.

Camper, Shooting, Scared Speechless 

August 17, 1966

Edinboro Lake, Pennsylvania

7 witnesses reported meeting a 6-foot tall creature in the park around Edinboro Lake; a local story had it that another man saw the same creature a few days previously and was so terrified that he was unable to speak for 3 days. A local posse was formed and they claimed not only to have glimpsed the monster, but also to have fired at it with rifles on two occasions.

Bigfoot Shooting

1966

Kobuk River, Alaska

Jean Joiner of Nome, while at his mine near Dall Creek on Jade Mountain often found large man-like tracks. One day he finally faced the creature and shot an “upright walking bear†in the back, killing it. Joiner found the thing looked so human he didn’t know what it was, afraid, he cut it up and threw it in the stream.

White Glowing Eyes

1960

Springboro, Pennsylvania

Caroline MacAdoo reported seeing a large hairy creature with broad shoulders and a small head. It walked on two legs and had deep set eyes that glowed white like a light bulb (even in daylight). This sighting is from the same woman that had sightings in 1946 and 1959, in Crawford County.

Bigfoot Report

June 1931

Long Island, New York

A dozen members of the Nassau County Police Department, armed with shotguns, were assigned today to search the woods in the neighborhood of Albertson Square for an ape-like animal that has been terrorizing residents in the vicinity. It was last seen this afternoon by a number of boys playing baseball at Devon Avenue and I.U. Willets Road. According to the boys, the animal, about 4 feet tall, and whose brown chest was covered with hair, attempted to climb over the improvised backstop, where George was playing catcher. At the sight of the animal, all  ball players screamed, attracting attention of a passing motorist. He hurled bricks at the animal, which escaped into the woods. About a week ago two women reported to the police that they had seen it. Last Saturday another reported that she had seen it. Laborers employed at Lewis & Valentine’s nursery also declared that had seen the animal about ten years ago. In no instance, however, has the animal attempted to  molest anyone.

Note: Bigfoot doesn't molest people .... Really? Well that's news. It's not extraordinary news that a four creature juvenile creatures wanders into crowded Long Island, to hang around and watch a neighborhood ball game, but it was important to know it didn't molest anyone .... Yawn.
