Guest
BobbyO, from what I remember of names, no the Sheriff wasn't the same one driving. As for getting down to finding the photo, wouldn't there be a certain peer LEO on this forum who lives in the area and who can pursue matters in the name of getting to the truth? masterbarber Posted June 1, 2011 Admin Share Posted June 1, 2011 If you'll look at the new crypto feed, it looks like MM is calling the Sheriff's story false: http://bigfootforums...6633#entry66633 This should get interesting. PT, You can get the same info I can, through a FOIA request.
Guest
Yep, caught that on the CM-Feed. Isn't he essentially calling the Sheriff a ... oh never mind. I'll leave that to someone else MB, just thought there might be other avenues present for some. Edited June 1, 2011 by PragmaticTheorist
Guest SqWAtcher
Yes, as a matter of fact, I was in GA, assisting with the TV show, and was closely involved in the discovery of the footprints. There is a lot more information regarding the tracks on Cliff's new website, www.cliffbarackman.com. I do have intimate knowledge of the prints and casts myself though, so I am available to answer any questions here regarding them.
Guest
I think others besides myself probably have better questions about the prints. Re the footage tho, I prefer just to see how time plays out that one. Matt and the Sheriff seem to be facing one another in the street, dust blowing, you can hear a pin drop. (Insert Clint Eastwood music here) So were you on the McKenzie shoot too? Edited June 1, 2011 by PragmaticTheorist
Guest SqWAtcher
You know me David. I'm Tyler Bounds, I wasn't on the AP shoot in OR, except for that night at Abe's when we talked. I did help Cliff out in September when we went to that McKenzie site to take measurements and such. But I worked as a Production Assistant and "fixer" for the GA and WA episodes. I had a feeling I wouldn't stay anonymous here for very long, but that's OK.
Guest
This Guy's got it, apparently, although it hasn't been released publically it seems.. http://www.lumpkincounty.gov/dept/sheriff Is this the Sheriff who was driving at the time does anyone know ?? & was he on the Show or if wasn't the one that was driving, was the Sheriff that was driving on teh Show ?? It seems just as likely this sheriff made up a counter story to keep the controversy out of his area (remember his position is an ELECTED office). One little story in a small town paper that has a web site does not impress me as valid proof, especially since the alleged picture is no where to be seen. As far as I know, the name of the officer driving the car has not been released. Either. Edit for spelling. Guest
Lol, I wouldn't have outed ya Tyler. Ironically I had just figured it out from another site who you were, but would have kept it in fun and private. Oh well. lol (Oh and I think you mean Ike's not Abe's) Oregonman, there was no name but it did say it was a Deputy Sheriff and not The Sheriff who was in the patrol car. Ok tho SqWAtcher, what is this I am hearing about them saying bigfoot having a black nose? That's BS as a rule, except and unless he put his nose in some charcoal. Guest SqWAtcher
Yeah, Ike's. Abe's is a different place. My mistake.
Guest MILPIL
They just aired a sneak peek on Monday, Memorial day. The series officially starts on Sunday the 5th. On Monday they showed the dash cam video from a northern Georgia troopers dash cam, showing a supposed Squatch running across the hwy. They then came to the conclusion that it was more than probably a Squatch, as they had done a recreation with Bobo running across the same area that the figure had. All in all it was interesting, and far better than Monsterquest.
Guest
Oregonman, there was no name but it did say it was a Deputy Sheriff and not The Sheriff who was in the patrol car. Yes, that's my point. The deputy sheriff driving the car reports to Stacy Jarrard, the same Stacy Jarrard that came up with the story that it was all a hoax. I can understand the motivation to make this go away...the LEOs in north Georgia were burned by a certain Matthew Whitton a few years ago.
Guest
This is a problem......I hope it was mentioned in the show. I also hope that none of the researchers participating in the show knew about the possible prank. Even if the BF running across the road may have been a prank, I still think that the researchers found some pretty conclusive evidence, and I sincerely enjoyed the program. BTW, Those boys could have been shot, or run over by a vehicle if he should fall while pulling a stupid prank like that if this story proves to be true. Are the kids looking for fame by claiming to have used their suit for running across a HWY late at night, or are they telling the truth? Susiq, a year ago or so there was a YouTube video of a couple of kids doing just that along a highway. It was actually pretty comical and not very believable. I'm sure a few people here remember it. It does happen. Level of professionalism may vary. lol Edited June 1, 2011 by PragmaticTheorist

As I hope that you already know, I really respect you and admire your efforts within the BF community to lend your talents to bring about the reality of the BF species.. Guest
I was involved in an investigation here in Georgia, a number of years ago, where a motorist reported a bigfoot running across the road after dark and it had just happen when we began to check into it. According to a dispatcher at the local police department. The high school marching band located in the area of the sighting was called the Bigfoot Marching Band, which included a BF costume used during the bands halftime show. Every now and then according to the dispatcher one of the high school kids would use the costume to run across the road and frighten motorist. It’s been a number of years and I talked to local law enforcement on the phone and I did not make the trip to the area, sorry I don’t remember the name of the town.
