Knife Thread...It's about time.

Those Marttiini's are nice little blades... especially for the money.

You will have to retire the neck knife and belt carry now.

@ Madison -- you're developing quite the collection of knives.  Nice new one.

The last knife I'd ever give up is my neck knife. It is on me whenever I'm in the woods and will still be on me if I take a spill down a mountainside.

I'm one short now. Lost my Kershaw in the woods while mushroom hunting. Dang it! I'll replace it eventually, but I have other bills first.

Ordered the steel and micarta.

Going to attempt to recreate this knife. I’ve got a buddy that builds knifes and is going to help me.

Going to keep the fuller and the serrations/saw teeth on the back?

That's going to be quite the project. I've watched a number of the Forged in Fire episodes and it is quite something to be able to make a knife from scratch. Good luck with it Norse.

My plan is to make it a sawback. The blood groove will reduce weight. But not necessary. It’s 1/4 steel.

Thanks!

Awesome.

It will be more complex to grind, but will look cooler.  Interested to see how it turns out.

It's awesome that you will have a knife made by your own hand.

Have you ever made a knife before?

Not a good one. My buddy is a pro. He could ask any price. So I hope to learn some things!

He built me a knife. Beautiful. But didn’t fit my paw.

That knife has exceptionally nice lines...

What's the length on that?

Not sure. I gave it to my son. His hand is smaller. I’m guessing it’s a 6 inch blade?

Trying out a rudimentary new sawback design. Copied a chainsaw chisel tooth.

It notches!
