Hi Everybody,

New member based in South Florida. I've been a bigfoot enthusiast since as long as I can remember. I remember seeing a bigfoot movie when I was really young (early 70's) and being hooked. I had a series of two or three books that I read cover to cover over and over again. They were paperback, fairly large and had red, blue (and I think) yellow covers. I still have them, just need to find them. As it happens I'd fade in and out of reading up on the subject. But every time I'm camping or hiking I always keep an eye out. I had the fire rekindled recently and I'm going to make an excursion down to Ochopee to do some fishing and enjoy the skunk ape's habitat. Looking forward to discussing, theorizing and researching!

Hi all!
I'm Cameron, from Australia! I've always been fascinated by Sasquatch/Bigfoot since I was a kid. Recently come back into interest after speaking to a regular at my local pub who claims to have seen our 'down-under' version of Bigfoot, the Yowie (I find it interesting that so many cultures and locations share similarities of 'myth', Bigfoot, Yeti, Almasty, Yowie etc). Separate to this interest, I love hiking, and have aspirations to do some in the Pacific Northwest (if anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them!), maybe even have my own experience!

Hello!  My username was actually supposed to be "Baserunner", since I'm a bass guitarist and trail runner.  Stupid auto-correct!  Anyway....

I've been interested in Bigfoot for as long as I can remember.  I was 2 years old when the Patterson-Gimlin Film was shot.  I don't remember when I first saw it, but it was probably around 1969 or 70.  I grew up in South East Texas, near the Sam Houston National Forest, but we left there when I was 13, eventually ending up in Wyoming.  During High School in Wyoming, my sasquatch interests were replaced by other things, and I kind of put it on a back burner.  I majored in (but didn't finish my degree in) Physical Anthropology at the University of Wyoming.    One day in I noticed a bunch of books on the bottom shelf in my professor/advisor's office, and that rekindled my interest.  My professor, Dr. George Gill, was fairly open in his belief that it was a real animal.  In 1986, I got to attend a Physical Anthropology convention in Albuquerque, and overheard two men discussing a hair sample.  One of them was Grover Krantz, and I spent about 15 minutes talking with him.  I've been a firm "believer" (although I don't like to use that word in this context, but can't really think of a better one) ever since.  I've never personally experienced anything that might have been a Bigfoot (other than being scared on scout camping trips in the deep pinewoods of East Texas as a small kid), and I'm not 100% sure I'd actually WANT to!  Nevertheless, the topic fascinates me.  Thanks for having me!

Hello from the great white north (Canada)! I have developed a fascination with bigfoot recently and heard of this forum on Reddit. I am particularly interested to find out more information about bigfoot in Canada. Hopefully this forum has some info in it.

I'm a mom of three currently in college. I love to knit, read, play video games, and go shooting with my husband.
